History Of The Tram Inn

It is thought that the building has stood in this spot since 1514.

A more detailed story of The Tram's history to follow!

Our Campaign

Since the pub's closure before the pandemic, it's a place everyone passes on a daily basis and we'd like to bet that most of those times a thought passes through your mind - "I wish it would reopen"

Now is the time we stop daydreaming and spring into action before we lose our pub for good.

A small committee of local residents have taken on the task of making this dream become a reality. With the plan to purchase the freehold as a community project and take ownership of the pub to secure its future.

Calling upon the expertise of associations such as CAMRA and The Plunkett Foundation, other pubs who have done this before us, the much needed support of local residents and the wider community, the Parish Council, local businesses and anyone else who will devote some time and energy - BIG things are possible.

If you've missed The Tram and would love to enjoy a pint, a meal or simply mingling with our friends and neighbours by the fire there again - please show your support.

Let's do this!
